There is an internet service ( http://www.greeklive.tv/ ), which broadcasts greek tv channels over the internet. It is a subscription service, but it is probably worth the money considering you can watch all shows of the most popular greek tv stations of the past 6 days. Anyway, I only use to watch basketball games.
This service has its own program (myTV.exe) , which has the ability to record a show. Now, the stream data is encrypted and the videos saved are not easy to transfer as they are encoded using a very unpopular codec. If you want to convert the video files saved by the application to DivX or other popular video formats, all you need to do is use the anyMP4 Media Converter.

Thank you for the comment. I am back in Greece now so I won’t be using any more greek tv services (for the near future at least).
The services I used when I was abroad were the http://www.greeklive.tv and the http://www.xtv.gr. I was pretty happy with both of them.

When you launch the mytv application on the menu you can go to: Contact -> Chat with Support…
There you can chat with the support guys and ask them what you want. They say that they have moved the website to: http://www.welovegr.com
You can probably try to contact them on: support@welovegr.com

No idea. Try sending them an e-mail.
My best bet would be to use virtualization (i.e. vimware or something similar).

Thanks for the info Kyriako. I tried to download anymp4 media encoder and during installation my Sophos anti-virus reports a trojan and removes one of the dll files. Consequently, the program does not convert any of the files.
Do you know of any other converters that could handle myTV recoreded files?
